During the development of The Box Trolls many other character designs were explored including the one below which had the working title of Purple Pot People - - but, it was quickly abandoned as the title had confusing connotations.
OK, I made up the part about The Box Trolls. The above drawing is my latest Marker Monday creation and is indeed entitled Purple Pot People, but solely because the body resembles a purple flower pot. I haven't had a chance to watch The Box Trolls yet, so perhaps these characters could inhabit that world.
