Of the four Doctor Who characters I have painted, this one proved to be the most challenging. The combination of the shirt, vest, jacket, bow tie and skin tones required great attention to detail. All elements painted by me - no photo textures or photo bashing.
Reference photo is on the left. I softened and blurred the background to help push the image forward.
